With switchover to a new IT system being undertaken in winter 2025, entries for the below open competitions were later going live than initially expected. Elie & Earlsferry Links Open Championship
First played in the 1920’s, the Elie & Earlsferry Links Open Championship established itself as one of the best and most enjoyable of open scratch golf competitions in the country.
The list of previous winners includes Walker Cup players, Internationalists and County players. Played in August, the course is always in superb links condition and provides a test for the very best of golfers.
This year the championship is being held on Saturday the 9th August 2025. This competition is played over 36 holes, with the leading nett score over the first 18 holes being awarded the Silver Medal and the best gross score over 36 holes the Gold Medal. Entries will open for the event in mid March 2025 and close in early July. If entries end above the maximum capacity, entrants will be balloted based on handicap rather than order of entry.
The Guthrie Reid Salver
This historic competition, played in late August each year is run by Elie Church. The Golf House Club is kind enough to allow course access for the day, allow Clubhouse access for changing facilities and provide the buffet on the day. All profits after expenses are retained by Elie Church. The 2025 event date is set as 22nd August 2025 with entries opening mid March on a first come basis.
