North Berwick Golf Club was founded in 1832 and the course is very much in the tradition of great links golf. The course starts and ends in the town but takes you up the side of the Firth of Forth towards the iconic lighthouse beyond the 9th green.
While all the holes are good, North Berwick has three signature holes; the “Pit” (13th) where the approach has to played over a wall to a sunken green, “Perfection” (14th) so called because it requires two perfect shots to reach the green and “Redan” (15th) which is one of the most copied holes around the world as a testing par 3 with a steep sloping well protected green.
Vistors can also expect to receive a warm welcome in the clubhouse and the offer of a great choice of freshly prepared food and drink in the delightful surroundings overlooking the 18th green.
North Berwick Golf Club is 75 mies from Elie and it takes one hour and three quarters to drive there.
