One of the best of East Lothian’s many traditional links courses, Luffness New Golf Club was founded in 1894 and designed by Old Tom Morris, making it another very old “new” club.
There is a natural feel to the layout as golfers make their way around the course which offers wonderful views to the sea to the north and the nature reserve to the west. Tight fairways and well protected greens make this a great golfing challenge.
The clubhouse is also renouned as one of the best for its hospitality and food and well worth a visit. Luffness is 68 miles from Elie and the journey by car should take just over an hour and a half complete with a crossing of the Forth Road Bridge.
6328 yds, par 70
