Fife is synonymous with golf and the famous Old Course at St Andrews is the first name that springs to most people’s minds. However there are many other wonderful links courses in Fife to enjoy. These include the New Course and the Jubilee Course, which lie adjacent to the Old Course and although less well known they are both easily its equal in the golfing challenge they provide.
There is then Kingsbarns Golf Links, only seven miles southeast of St Andrews, which has established itself as one of the finest courses in the world since it was opened in 2000. After that; well the list goes on and on…
North of Fife lies Angus and the championship course at Carnoustie is the best known in this region. However there are many other fine links to explore and another championship course that should certainly be considered is the fabulous Panmure Golf Club.
East Lothian lies south of Fife and on the other side of the Firth of Forth. Again the visiting golfer is spoilt for choice, and of the many great courses to play, Gullane No.1, Luffness New Golf Club and North Berwick Golf Club all offer the highest standard of traditional links golf and a warm welcome at their friendly clubhouses.
There is a wealth of rented accommodation available in Elie and Earlsferry and whether you are a small or large party, or are staying for a few days or a month, there is something to suit.
