Visitor Information

Welcome
Welcome to the Golf House Club and Elie & Earlsferry Ladies’ Golf Club. We look forward to having you come and play on our historic and picturesque links and hope that you make use of the facilities available. Here’s some additional information that you might find useful.

Tee time availability & booking

Parking
At the top of the golf club lane, turn left for the visitors’ Car Park.

On Arrival
Please come to the clubhouse situated by the 18th green and check in either at our Starter’s Office or with one of the clubhouse staff. They will point you in the right direction and make sure that you are served with any food or drink that you require. Please note that clubs should be left outside the clubhouse in the area near the Starter’s Office and not brought into either of the Locker Rooms.

Dress Code
The club has a very traditional dress code. Of particular note is that we prefer the wearing of knee length long socks or short white ankle socks if wearing shorts.  Shirts must have a collar and not be worn outside the waistband.

Denim clothing, training shoes and football or rugby shirts are not allowed on the course or in the clubhouse and trousers and shorts must be tailored with no combat style patch pockets.

Golf Professional & Shop
On the other side of the lane beside the tennis courts and putting green, is the golf shop which is fully stocked with everything you might need from course guides to a rental set of clubs. If you wish to hit a few warm up shots before your round, you can also buy a bucket of balls for the driving range.

Trolleys, Ride on Buggies and Caddies
Hand pulled trolleys are available for rent from the golf shop. There are a limited number of ride on buggies available for hire which are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis to those who would not otherwise be able to play golf. Before using a buggy at Elie, a golfer must produce a valid driving licence and must read and sign a Disclaimer Form. If you would like to reserve a buggy you can do this at the time of booking or by calling the Club on +44 (0)1333 330301. We do not have our own caddies at Elie but you could bring your own, should you wish.

Handicaps and Speed of Play
Whilst we would prefer all golfers to have a recognised golf handicap, any regular golfers who are aware of etiquette and able to get round the course in good time will be welcomed. If there is a faster game playing behind or you have fallen behind the game in front, please let it through to keep the course moving and to make sure everyone enjoys their round of golf to the full. Mobile phones should not be used on the course and can only be used from the Car Park, away from the 18th green or in the clubhouse from the telephone booth in the hallway. We ask that all mobile phones are either switched off or on silent mode. We do not permit the playing of loud music during a round. We appreciate that visitors may want to take photographs during their round however we ask that this does not interrupt play for other parties. We do not permit the use of drones unless granted by the club secretary beforehand.

Mobile Phones
Mobile phones should not be used on the course and can only be used from the Car Park, away from the 18th green or in the clubhouse from the telephone booth in the hallway.
